How to play Pyramid Solitaire
Bring your attention to one round of Pyramid Solitaire. Remove all 28 pyramid cards. Use the example below to understand a decision. Begin with the solo mode shown on the page. Keep the game area visible while you use its controls.
Pyramid, stock and waste; one stock recycle. Free solo play, no wagering.
Make the controls familiar
Locate the buttons and input area before beginning a long round. Use the on-screen labels to avoid an accidental restart. Use the example to check your reasoning.
Your goal
Remove all 28 pyramid cards. The feedback beside the game helps you follow the round. Try to explain the aim in your own words.
Step by step
- Only uncovered cards are selectable. Pairs total 13; a king removes alone.
- Click an exposed card or eligible pair to remove it.
- Draw when useful.
- Undo reverses a choice. New deal shuffles again.
Controls
Click or tap cards and piles. Wide tableaus scroll inside the game; use Undo, Hint and New deal where shown. Read a button’s label before selecting it. Make sure you are interacting with the game rather than the surrounding page.
A useful example
An exposed queen pairs with an ace; a jack pairs with a 2. Apply the same reasoning to the position in your own round. Notice the change in the playing area.
Watch out for this
Random deals are not guaranteed solvable. A hint is a legal move, not a winning strategy. Read the feedback to see why an action did not have the expected result. Compare the worked example with your own position. Use the reasoning, not an answer copied from a different board.
